Susan Wiley has her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. She also has her Master of Arts in Music Education from Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon. Susan has been trained and certified in the Harmony Road Music Program Philosophy from Jan Keyser in Portland, Oregon. Susan has been teaching the Harmony Road program for 15 years with the first 10 years at Weathers Music Corporation and the last 5 years at her own music studio. She also has taught private piano lessons for the past 24 years to many students in the Salem area. Susan has taught elementary music in the Dallas School District for 22 years. Susan also was teaching Middle School and High School Choirs in Dallas School District last school year. Susan also sings in her Church Choir and is an active member of Oregon Spirit Chorus which is part of Sweet Adelines International. Susan began taking piano lessons in the 3rd grade when her Aunt moved to Alaska and wanted a home to store her piano in. Her Aunt still lives in Kodiak, Alaska. Susan continued studying piano lessons throughout her school education and on into college. Susan is married to Randy who is a teacher in the Salem-Keizer School District and has two grown children. Both of her children went through the Harmony Road Music program as well and are both musicians today. They both participated in the music programs in Salem-Keizer Schools throughout all their education. Her son, Matthew is studying for a musical theatre degree at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy: Hollywood in Los Angeles, CA and graduated in June 2011. Her daughter, Rachel, is attending Eastern Oregon University to study Secondary Education.
